2011 A look Back: THE SIGNATURE BOYS

In February we had on the world famous "THE SIGNATURE BOYS" These two are extreme autograph collectors. Most collectors get an 8x10 signed to them. Donnie & Dave get celebrities to autograph them! Between the two of them they have over 180 autographs tattooed to them. They gained world-wide attention when former Porn Star Jenna Jamison mentioned them on The Howard Stern show. Howard being Howard invited them on to see if this was true. It was Howard who christened them "THE SIGNATURE BOYS" and the rest is history. The Signature Boys found us on youtube (they were impressed with our in house celeb stalker South Boston Jeff and his Celebrity Stalking segment) After talking with their talent rep. they were booked for the show. A few days before their guest spot I got a call from Signature Boy Dave who asked if Sabrina & I would autograph them? I took that request as a total honor. Sabrina on the other hand thought it was the strangest guest request ever.  I had to convince her that we will be immortalized in ink along with a who's who of  famous people! Once she thought about it she was all excited. (For the record my signature on Dave is right underneath the lead singer of Twisted Sister Dee Snider.) After getting to know them throughout the year they are two of the coolest guys I have ever met. In November I got the chance to see them in action, when Donnie got Playboy Playmate Alison Waite to sign him.
Check out the clip http://youtu.be/XnXtWGjB32o     In our eight years of doing the show "THE SIGNATURE BOYS" are two of my favorite and most interesting people we have ever had on. Future After Hours with TC Restani Hall of Famers indeed!

2011 A look Back: Rare & Well Done

Hey fans, as the year comes to a close, I'm going to BLOG about some of my memorable moments of 2011. RARE and WELL DONE is an internet Radio show broadcasted world wide from Boston on www.unregularradio.com   Wednesday nights from 11pm -1am (EST) Hosted by The BIGG NEZ, SUZY SMOOTH & JOE MURPHY. I was originally scheduled to be on the show in January (but thanks to a BLIZZARD I could not make it) So we re-scheduled for March. The BIGG NEZ (who is a big fan of After Hours) called and invited us to be guests on his radio show (This was not our first time being interviewed by the BOSTON media. In 2009 & 2010 we were spotlighted by FOX 25's Morning show.) So the date was set for March 23rd at their studio in the heart of downtown Boston. It was a FREEZING night & the sequin Jacket is not built for New England winters. My entourage consisted of Col. Bull Montana, Website manager Tommy D. & "Tompalomp" (his last name is way to long so we call him that) We were the first guests to be interviewed that night (we shared the stage with British musician Duncan Daniels ,who I called Dunkin Donuts Daniels) The interview went well over an hour. We talked about the show, the cast, did some shout outs to fans and played 80's movie trivia with pop culture guru Joe Murphy. I have to say that Col. Montana stole the show with his unique dialog about current issues. All in all it was an amazing time, so amazing that we were invited back in July to do it all over again. I want to thank the cast & crew of RARE and WELL DONE for a job WELL DONE! We can't wait to go back on.

22 YEARS AGO TODAY......THE FUTURE RETURNED!

Hey fan, for those who follow me @TCRESTANI you know that I love the movie Back to the Future. So in the year 1989 on this date November 22nd the sequel came out. I remember getting invited to a press screening at midnight (12am showings were rare in the old days) I remember being the ONLY real fan of the saga there. I could not wait for it. When the announcer said that it was over 3 years ago that Back to the Future came out...I had to correct him (I know geek moment) It was in fact 4 years 4 months & 19 days since the release of the first film. That got a big laugh & for my knowledge I got a free Poster & T-Shirt of the movie!  So the theater lights dim & the movie begins right where part one left off (only changes were Elisabeth Shue who took over the role of Marty's girlfriend from the original "Jennifer" Claudia Wells and actor Jeffrey Weissman took over the part of "George McFly" from Crispin Glover) Hey things like that happen in Hollywood! Now I love BTTF part 1 it's my fav movie of all time! The Sequel was special in it's own way, it was the first "SEQUEL" in history that got to visit it's predecessor. Meaning this was a time travel movie so the characters could go BACK into the first film & re-live scenes from a totally different point of view. (Back in the 80's some people did not understand that concept?) I loved it. Back to the Future Part 2 was like 3 movies in one. You had the futuristic scenes of 2015, the alternate time line of 1985 and you got to re-witness scenes from the original movie from a new perspective, TOTAL GENIUS FILM MAKING! This film was also a trendsetter. Back to the Future Parts 2 & 3 were shot back to back to save money on production costs. This was a new concept for Hollywood (only other movie in that era that did this was Superman 1 & 2) Today you have the Matrix, Pirates & Lord of the Rings using the model that BTTF 2 & 3 created two decades earlier. So on this 22nd anniversary I will go "BACK" and watch this influential piece of cinema history!

TV SHOW-LOBSTERS & PLAYMATES aka MY WEEKEND!

Hey Fans, what a weekend I had! Saturday was a busy day. First we did a taping of our award winning show with my guests JOHNNY FABULOUS & The World Famous SIGNATURE BOYS. For those who may read this blog or follow me on twitter @TCRESTANI you know that I had the contract signing with Fabulous Productions LIVE on the show Saturday night. Also we had the return of THE SIGNATURE BOYS, these two guys are know for getting celebrity autographs tattooed to them. Back in February they had Sabrina's and my signatures immortalized in ink on them forever. After the show I took my hard working crew out for a late dinner at a cool Japanese Hibachi Style Restaurant. For those who have never been to a Hibachi Style Restaurant they cook the food on this giant grill right in front of you. It was awesome. I had the LOBSTER & STEAK combo with mixed vegetables it was amazing! On Sunday I attended a celebrity collectors show in Boston with THE SIGNATURE BOYS & our in house celebrity stalker SOUTH BOSTON JEFF. Not many A-LIST stars were at this show. Guest included Tracy Gold (Chick from Growing Pains) Peter Tork (From the 60s show The Monkees) But there were some cool stars in attendance, first there was Sean Astin (Mikey from the 80's classic The Goonies & Samwise Gamgee from the Lord Of The Rings saga ) But the main reason I went to this show was to meet one of my favorite Playmates of the past 10 year Miss May 2006 Alison Waite. For those who know me you know that I have a very soft spot for drop dead gorgeous brunettes & Alison is one of them. She was very sweet to talk to and she cut a promo for the show. But the highlight was when Donnie of THE SIGNATURE BOYS got her to sign him. She thought it was the coolest thing to be signature #101 on him. I will post the video of the event later this week. So all in all it was a kick ass weekend!

NEW TALENT AGENT

Tonight after months of contract negotiations. I signed on the dotted line with my new talent agent Mr. Johnny Fabulous! If Johnny looks familiar to you? It's because he is the father of WWE superstar John Cena. With my Executive Producer Sabrina Champagne Cain and my talent agent Johnny Fabulous calling the shots behind the scenes, 2012 looks like it will be a fun year for our multi time award winning Late Night Show.
