FUTURE-cising

Now that we are in the second month of 2012, I'm sure everybody has broke their new years resolution to get in better shape? Well, I'm now in my 5th year of getting back in shape & exercising is not as fun as it use to be. So I have come up with a plan that works for me. It's also entertaining and challenging. It's called "FUTURE-cising! What is FUTURE-cising? Well it's doing part of my cardio workout to this track from the Back To The Future Soundtrack.

As you may all know BTTF is my favorite movie of all time & my favorite scene in the movie is when Marty McFly is driving the DeLorean towards the clock tower attempting to reach 88MPH just as the lightning will strike generating the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity to send him BACK TO THE FUTURE. What I do is I use this track to finish off my last 5 min of a 60 min workout. I have to get my heart rate to 1"88" beats per min and hold that number until the music cue of the lightning strike takes place at the 4min 55 second mark. If I do not reach that number I have to start over til I reach it! I know it may sound insane but it works for me!  Below is the clip from the movie to refresh your memory. I know a lot of people that do crazier things to get motivated!

RICKY BITTMAN INTERVIEW

Hey fans, last month while I was out in Vegas I interviewed my mentor Mr. Ricky Bittman. For you long time fans you will remember Ricky from our 2008 season. Growing up in and around the Las Vegas Night Life I was taken under the wing by Bittman. Ricky use to be the headline act at Col. Montana's old night club "THE DAMP NAPKIN" in old Vegas back in the late 70's. I visited him at his brand new mobile home in Pahrump, NV and we talked about his upcoming second season of "RICKY BITTMAN's KUNG-FU THEATER" that will air on my NETWORK starting this spring. So enjoy this fantastic interview.

PAWN STARS

In January I took a trip home to Las Vegas to visit family & friends. While I was there I stopped into visit my second Favorite TV show (my show is my favorite) PAWN STARS on the History Channel is my other favorite show.
For those who have not seen this show? The premise is simple. The Harrison Family along with their version of Col. Montana "CHUMLEE" do a reality show from their Las Vegas Pawn Shop. Average Joe's bring in a plethora of junk to try to get $$$$$. Sometimes they strike Gold, but 90% of the time it's crap. I have never been a fan of reality shows, but when it's interesting with fun characters I'm hooked!
I was disappointing that the cast was not on hand the night I visited. The manager on duty told us that the cast only work a few days a week when they shoot. Maybe next year I will try to sell Col. Montana. I wonder what they would offer?
